Dr. Wagner – Patient Success Story

In 2009 I injured my knee and was in great pain. The term used for my injury was “osteochondral defect”. The only treatment that was offered was surgery. I was not able to have surgery as I had three torn tendons in my right shoulder and would not be able to walk using crutches.
I consulted with Dr. Wagner and showed him the MRI’s of my injuries. We decided to try PRP on my knee and see if it brought me any relief. I had a series of three injections in October-December 2009. Each PRP injection brought greater relief, and after the last treatment my knee was pain free and I could walk normally.
Dr. Wagner and I then discussed using PRP to treat my shoulder injuries. I had one injection in January 2010, and never received another injection as I had no more pain!
It has been six years since my PRP treatments, and I have had no problems at all. I thank Dr. Wagner for helping me to avoid surgery and to live without pain.
