Treatment: Prolotherapy / Hip and Shoulder

Susan Sanders is always on the go, not sitting still for long.  Susan loves to exercise, garden and has a passion for quilting.  Whether it’s doing projects around the house with her husband or helping friends, Susan loves to stay busy.  Susan works in the evenings as a server in a popular Burke restaurant.  Though lifting the heavy trays can take its toll, Susan loves the opportunity to interact with people.
In 2004, Susan began having severe pain in her hip and shoulder.  The pain was progressively worsening, unrelenting, and taking over her life.  “I was in terrible pain,” Says Susan.  “It hurt to sit in the car, it hurt to stand, I was waking up several times a night, and I was just miserable.  I was in pain all the time and it left me too tired to do anything other than the basics of day-to-day living.”
For two years, Susan visited various physicians, but no one could pinpoint the cause of her pain.  As Susan relates it, “It drained me of all my energy so that I had no personal life.  I couldn’t enjoy any of my former activities, or getting together with my friends.  It was all I could do to go to work every night.  It was hurting my home life because I was short-tempered and cranky.  The pain had taken over my life and I was so frustrated.”
Finally, a medical professional suggested that Susan try out Regenerative therapies.  It was November 2006 when Susan sought out a consultation from one our Regenerative experts.  After a thorough exam and tests, the physician determined that Susan source of pain was a hyper mobile Sacroiliac Joint.  Her conditions made her a great candidate for Prolotherapy.  “This was a huge decision.  The doctors said I would need to have between 6 and 10 Prolotherapy sessions over the course of about a year.  After starting the series of Prolotherapy treatments, combined with Physical Therapy, I started feeling better.  I am very glad that I made the decision to have the treatments and get my life back.”
Today, Susan in pain free and her life is back to normal.  “I can go, go, go!  Now my outlook on life is great.  I have the energy to do everything I want to do.  I’m strong, again, and back to working out.  I am gardening, quilting, and am constantly on the run between work, home projects, and friends.  Thank you for putting me back together, again!”
