Nick Caparell has always been active in sports and an exercise enthusiast. In 2008, the years of activity caught up with him. The wear on his left shoulder had caused a torn rotator cuff and labral tear. Nick consulted an Orthopedic surgeon, who confirmed the diagnosis and recommended surgical intervention.
“I wrestled with the idea of surgery for a long time, but still could not bring myself to undergo the procedure. I was reluctant to undergo the long rehabilitation process that surgery would entail.” Nick’s pain increased significantly and was beginning to impact his sleep, business, exercise programs, and his quality of life.
Anxious for a solution to his pain, Nick states, “A friend overheard me describing my condition and recommended Regenerative therapies. I made an appointment and the rest is history.”
A physician examined Nick and suggested a regimen of Prolotherapy to strengthen and stabilize his ligaments. Nick then received two sessions of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), scheduled several weeks apart. The treatment plan strengthened and repaired Nick’s shoulder. He is back to lifting weights and instructing martial arts students.
“The outcome has been remarkable – beyond my wildest dreams,” Nick states. “The pain is gone, my strength and flexibility has returned and, with it, my confidence.”
Nick has been so pleased with his results that he encourages others to explore Regenerative therapies. “It’s nice to know that non-surgical options exist. I was treated well by everyone – from the front office staff to the physicians. Thanks!”
